The Environment 2021
Sovann Komar is not an ‘institution’. It is a home for our teenagers.
We invest time and effort to get to know our children and build strong relationships. It’s about the communal moments that build strong, life-long friendships, such as sharing our meals and playing sports together. Our goal is to emphasize working together as a team, caring for others, and giving back to our community.
This is a place where children participate in creating their environment with pride and have the opportunity to develop into well-rounded individuals, ready to step into the adult world.
Learning and Development
Access to education is the key to creating a bright future. We value the ability to provide each child with access to education and the resources necessary for enabling success. A key component of Sovann Komar’s programming is ensuring that each child has access to the education they deserve, opening the door for a future that is filled with vast possibilities.
The children of Sovann Komar have overcome tremendous barriers and are the future doctors, teachers, and leaders of Cambodia. Given their resilience and strength, we know they can move beyond the many challenges they have faced and build a better future for themselves, their communities, and our world.
